Jayson Williams is handcuffed by Somerset County Sheriffs Officers as he is taken into custody Tuesday, eight years and 10 days after he fatally shot his 55-year-old limousine driver Costas Christofi at his former Hunterdon County estate.Williams, 42 is  sentenced to at least 18 months in prison Tuesday as he appears before Superior Court Judge Edward Coleman.Mr. Williams appears with his attorneys Joseph Hayden and Billy Martin.Williams pleaded guilty Jan. 11 to a downgraded charge of aggravated assault under the terms of a plea agreement reached Dec. 24 with the State Attorney General's Office, which took over the case from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.Williams, who was awaiting retrial on a reckless manslaughter charge, also waived his right for post-conviction relief, a legal motion to set aside a conviction before filing an appeal.

Approximately 90 Red-nosed, colorful clowns  parade down the Seaside Heights boardwalk Sunday as part of the 29th annual Clownfest. Clowns from Ringling Brothers and the Big Apple Circus will being among some of the performers hosting games involving hoola-hoops and beach balls. Kids can get their faces painted to fit in with the theme of the weekend.

Miranda was one of nine service members killed when the helicopter in which they were traveling crashed in Zabul Province in Southern Afghanistan, September, 21, 2010.
     
  
Samia Duckery (age 6) of Somerset, NJ parades up Broad St. in Newark, NJ with the People's Organization for Progress.  Newark hosts the 44th Annual African-American Heritage Parade. The annual parade, the state's largest celebration of African-American heritage and culture, is marking its 44th year and is themed "Ujamaa.Cooperative Economics. We Need Each Other." The parade and festival will focus on uniting families and communities to cooperate to build prosperity and economic development.
  
A Roseland Fire Dept. firefighter races up a ladder as Fire and Emergency services from multiple municipalities battle a large fire in an apartment building at 399 Lincoln Ave. in Orange, NJ. Many residents of the building were sheltered in the Gymnasium at Orange High School nearby.
  
Gerard Stefanelli (age 9) scrubs his dad's boat in the  driveway of his parent's home.  The Cosenza and Stefanelli families work to clean their new boat Wednesday in the Stefanelli family's Washington Twp. home's driveway in the warm weather.  The 1986 26 foot boat doesn't have a name yet and the two families plan to launch the boat this summer off Normandy Beach.

Orphans Ricardo Olman (age 9) is flanked by Noelanda Noel (age 6) (left) and Nuncia Delphine Jean-Baptiste Friday morning on the grounds of their destroyed church.Rev. Jean J. Paul run a Church and Orphanage in LaPlaiene, Haiti with 56 children in the orphanage.  Their churcn building was flattened during the earthquake which struck Haiti.  Calling it a miracle, none of the children were injured in the quake.  Dinner was late, causing the children to be in the yard and not inside the church when it collapsed. Rev. Paul is former NY/NJ taxi driver who moved back to Haiti 7 years when he was "called by God" back to start the "Soles Winning Ministries Presbyterian Church" and "Reformation Hope Orphanage".
  
The GLTBI Parade is held in Asbury Park, NJ.  Participants marched through downtown Asbury Park and up Grand Ave. to Sunset Lake Park.
